A stated share, or an open account

What it is
Money that leaves because somebody can ask for it. Some of it has a fixed monthly figure. Some of it is open — decided by whoever asks, whenever they ask.
Why it matters
An open amount has no ceiling, so it rises to meet whatever you earn. Nothing you save stays saved underneath one. This is not about giving less. A stated figure that is held protects both the money and the relationship; an open account eventually damages both.
The method
List each claim. Write the fixed figure where one exists. Where none exists, mark it open — and if you can, add up what actually left over twelve months. Most people have never seen that total.
Example
Danish sends "whatever is needed". Across a year that was PKR 610,000. He would have guessed half. Nothing was wasted; it was simply never counted.

Now you

Who has a claim, whether it has a figure, and what left last year.
